Launch of a citizen complaint against the State of Senegal #YenAMarre

"Y en a Marre" Senegal - logoDuring the legislative elections of July 30, 2017, Senegalese citizens denounced the failure of the State of Senegal in its mission to assure them the constitutional right to vote, while guaranteeing them Biometric identities cards.

Unfortunately, nearly 1 million citizens were deprived of their right to vote, either for the omission of their identity card or for omission of their names on the lists. This, in spite of all the interpellations made to the authority for the taking of strong measures.

There are no valid excuses or explanations that could help to situate responsibilities, none have been provided by the State.

The movement Y en a Marre and other organisations (citizens, Raddho, Amnesty, etc) have taken the initiative to bring forward a complaint against the State of Senegal before the Court of Justice CEDEAO

This action will be launched after a press conference scheduled for Thursday 17th August at 11h at restaurant Le Relais, route de Ouakam.

The national and international press are invited to this important meeting
